This standalone Safeguarding Course is for those who have already started their New Starter (Getting Started) training, and already validated 1 or more modules, or who are due a refresher as part of their Mandatory Ongoing Learning (MOGL) requirements.

To pass, you’ll need to score 100% on the assessment. Don’t worry, you can re-take it as many times as you need.

  • The e-learning should take around 30-45 minutes.
  • Once you’ve completed the learning modules and assessment, you’ll be able to print and download a certificate to show or email to your line manager.

Objectives
By doing this e-learning, you’ll:

  • Understand the Safeguarding Policy and how to keep young people and adults at risk safe
  • Understand the Young People First Safeguarding Card Code of Practice (Yellow Card)
  • Know how to recognise abuse
  • Know how to report concerns
  • Know what to do to make Scouts safe

Note: this e-learning talks about the Safeguarding Policy which will be in place in September 2020. Until then, the Child Protection Policy remains current and links in the e-learning will take you to the current policy.
